Guide 03 · Python SDK

Not limited to the IDE

The PythonStudio SDK is a separate Python package intended for use both inside Visual Python Studio and from other Python editors. That distinction matters: a developer can work directly in Python without needing the visual designer for every project.

Working with a versioned SDK

When a public SDK wheel is released, download the wheel and its matching documentation first. Installation should take place in a virtual environment compatible with the documented Python version and operating system.

ILLUSTRATIVE WINDOWS INSTALL PROCEDURE
py -m venv .venv
.\.venv\Scripts\python.exe -m pip install PATH\TO\ACTUAL_SDK_WHEEL.whl

This is a general packaging example, not a working public download command. Replace the path with the real published wheel when one is available. Package filenames and API names will be documented per release.
